WHAT
& WHO
WE TREAT
At Nova Physio & Performance, we help active adults get back to the things they love—lifting, running, golf, travel, and family life—without feeling fragile or limited by pain. Below you’ll find the most common conditions we treat, from joint replacements to complex post-operative cases and stubborn orthopedic pain.

ORthopedic Injuries & Pain
Most orthopedic pain doesn't start where it hurts. A knee that aches during squats is often a hip mobility problem. A shoulder that won't stop flaring up is often a thoracic spine issue. At Nova, we identify the true source — not just the symptom — and build a plan that fixes it for good, not just for now.

Patient FAQ
Do I need a doctor's referral to start physical therapy?
No. Under current "Direct Access" laws, you can begin treatment with us immediately without a primary care referral. This allows us to start your recovery process the same week you notice an issue—whether it's an acute orthopedic flare-up or your first week home from joint replacement surgery.
How many sessions will I need to reach my goals?
Every body is unique. However, because Nova uses a full 60-minute 1-on-1 performance model, we often reach goals in fewer visits than traditional clinics. Most patients see significant improvement within 4-6 focused sessions, with 8-12 sessions as a full plan of care tailored to their athletic comeback.
What if I've tried physical therapy before without success?
Many of our clients come to us after struggling with standard orthopedic rehab. Our difference lies in the individual attention: you are never passed to an assistant, and we focus on elite biomechanical performance and long-term joint health rather than just basic pain management.
How long are the evaluation and treatment sessions?
Evaluations are 75 minute slots to allow for full evaluation, assessment, plan of care creation, exercises, NOVA Portal account creation, and most importantly any questions you have! Every follow up sessions at NOVA is a full 60 minutes of dedicated 1-on-1 time focused on your specific orthopedic and longevity goals.
